Oh sure, I do know that it's November, but I'm always peeking at my little backyard garden. I've been studying cold boxes and green houses and all the snazz I might add to the little beds. But in the meantime, I'm just curious as to why my tomatoes hate me.
Thoughts? Anyone? Here they are newly planted, after some rough ant-eating on the front porch. Then again after my first trip out back in weeks. Yeah, I'm the fabled neglectful gardener. And then here they are again after I did my best to make them strong and happy. Note the marked discoloration in the foliage and total wimpification of the stalks.
What do I have to do to make them healthy and edible? Am I over watering when I try to care for the garden? I do have a tendency to explode my fish from overfeeding. Poor girls.
The bell peppers, my pride and joys, are looking just fine on the other hand. Then again, I haven't touched them. They are just puttering away on their path to the plate. It's only appropriate since that's where they started. That's right. Grown from seed. So tickled!
And today being T-day, I am thankful that mint is a weed. My Moroccan Tea habit is alive and strong thanks to this little guy:
A quick nod to the basil and then you've seen the whole thing. My little backyard garden needs more friends. There is plenty of space so far. Maybe a little oregano to round out the Italian cooking corner?

That's right, Zombie apocalypse. I'm almost ready for ya!
